Additional Notes and Such

I've been tearing my hair out trying to get PHP to dynamically write dynamic HTML. See, I need javascript to dynamically change the contents of select boxes, but the js needs to be dynamically generated from fields plucked from a db. Weak. Nothing new to report with anything else. I'm taking a deep breath with chicks for the time being. It's hard to reduce the throttle on things, and that's hat I'm having to do. E is a memory, which is fine. J is around, but there's nothing going on, which is always fine, and K is busy busy busy, so I'm going to be patient and just see what happens. Still without power. Lameness.

Adventure, Excitement. The Jedi craves not these things.

Met K last night. That's the big news (I mean, there's other kinda big news, but this is the big news to me). She's about as gorgeous as I had hoped, and I had a good time with her, despite it being kinda weird to just hang out in her car. I hope we get a chance to hang out again soon as really see if we're as compatible as I think. I'm just so taken by her, and I want to find out why. Oh, hey -- by the way -- how about that Hurricane Charley? That f**ker ripped through and took away my power. And I'm very tired now, mostly from getting half-quality night's sleeps on Danielle's couch and seating my arse off during the days in Deltona. The damn state looks like a friggin war zone and frankly, it's getting annoying. It's time for the damn power to be restored. Speaking of which, the lines came back up here at work just recently. This is good news. Ok, back to the cleanup.

The Continuing Saga of K

It would be senseless to post anything here that didn't talk about all that's really going on in my life. K has pretty much dominated my thoughts, and last night proved it when I had a long, fantastic conversation with her... at about 3:30 AM. Man, it's dizzying. Little things that everyone else will think are stupid, like dissecting the brain power necessary to conjure up the feaux-accented "Cheuman" for German... they get me big time. This girl is gorgeous, and she's got a really interesting combo of creativity, intelligence, and, well, balls, that makes her almost irresistible. I can't wait to see her on Sunday. So I hung up last night and then I couldn't sleep, because, shit... I'm too excited. How strange is that? That has NEVER happened to me before. And I may read this later and feel stupid, but something is different with this one. I can't tell what yet, but something it definitely different. Another thing on my mind is just how frickin' incredible the album Third Stage, by Boston, is. Goddamn. Can'cha Say > Hollyann has got to classify as one of the best one two punches in history on my list. Rock solid...

Blog Post 97: K Strikes

What can I say? I've spent the majority of the last two days on IM with K, who is not only a knockout, but has a kooky sense of humor like mine. Is it weird to do this online deally, because you kinda fall in love with the image in your head, and then you have to hope that the real life is the same thing, or even close to the thing in your head. Here's hoping.

Hello World.

Having just rediscovered that I have this thing again, it's time to post something. However, having just shown it to K, who may be reading this, I'm faced with a most awkward dilemma. First off, this is the first time I could write about someone and they actually read it (that I know of), secondly, since I spoke to her on IM for a little over an hour, and then spent another 40 minutes reading all sorts of stuff she wrote, she's kinda on my mind, and that's just scary to write about her and think she might read it. In the meantime, this weekend, I finally got some much needed sleep, cleaned up, planned the BFQ, and relaxed. Last night, I made fried chicken - real friend chicken - and although it made quite a mess, it was surprisingly awesome. Danielle and BJ agreed that it kicked ass, and I was pretty pleased myself. I can't wait to make some of the new recepies I've got planned. I'm still kinda surprised I haven't heard a peep from A since I went to Jacksonville. Keith asked me about it this weekend and I was completely at a loss for words....

I *knew* it!

This is friggin cool. They talk about it like it's a known thing that yawns are contagious, but I've never heard anyone really speak about it as a known phenomenon. But dammit, it should be. Because simply talking about yawning gets me yawning. FAKING a yawn gets most people to yawn. It's really amazing.

it's funny

See, I always figure that no one ever reads my blog. Well, not one I need to worry about. Friends, chicks I've dated, employers... the liklihood that any of these people has read my blog is really really small. Shit, I don't even read my own blog, and anyone who reads this would know, I think blogs are pretty lame overall anyway. Yet, here I sit, not only blogging, but authoring software to encourage blogging, which, as we covered, is pretty lame. This is strange though, because for the first time, I will be driving my family members to the site (well, not the first time, but the first time that anyone might actually come to the site. And the scary part is that at least someone - probably Chet, but who knows - is going to stumble onto the blog and start reading this stuff. Now, whoever you are, trust me, it doesn't get much more interesting than this. Most of it is me rambling about other crap I've written online, and the occasional tidbit about the latest lady-de-jour, but not much more. Strange though, to imagine having an audience that actually knows me. Strange. And scary.

Oh yeah!

I forgot I even had a blog. I guess I've been so busy with tCH that I just got distracted. The new version is awesome, and runs in MySQL but could run in flatfiles or PostgreSQL or MSSQL or anything else with which PHP can established a connection. I'll get some screenshots online as soon as possible.

Monday Rowing, Tuesday Badminton, Dancin

Here we are, it's Sunday, and it's 5:16 and has felt like 7:30 for about 3 hours. I'm making Hawaiian sweet bread and fricken finally unpacking and that's that. I was at Midyear for the last few days, and I thought I might get together with AB this weekend, but she got sick. Too bad! She is so gorgeous, it makes me a little crazy. I also have to catch up with HM, because she's cool too, and I won't be able to see her for some time since I'm out of town for the next 8 zillion weekends (well, 3, but still!) I'm tired too. I need a good night's sleep. Tomorrow I'm back at work, and I'll be wrapping up tCH/SQL, which is tCH 0.4, which is pretty sweet.
